Wholemeal Queen Cakes
These are just fun to make and tasty. Nothing like putting royalty in the name to spice it up.
115 grams unsalted quality butter
175 grams fine wholemeal flour
1 dessertspoon of golden syrup
1/4 of a cup of milk
115 grams caster sugar
2 organic or free range eggs
1 level teaspoon of baking soda
115 grams of sultanas
Method: Cream butter and sugar. The beat in the eggs one at a time and add the Golden Syrup. Add the dry ingredients (wholemeal, sugar and sultanas). Lastly add the baking soda dissolved in the milk until moist. Take out your cupcake papers and put a dessertspoon of the mixture into each. Once ready eat plain or buttered.
