Faux Christmas Pudding – Quick and Easy
Here is something to whip up if you don’t have much time.
1 heaped cup of breadcrumbs
1 cup mixed fruit
1 mashed banana
1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
1 free range or organic egg
1 tablespoon of water
Take the water and dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in it. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix together. Take out your pudding basin use baking paper line the basin and then add cloth or aluminium/tin foil. Place the mixture inside and wrap or tie with the string. Take out a large saucepan and place the pudding basin in cover halfway up with water. Bring to boil and then simmer on very low heat for around two – two and half hours. Check occasionally to make sure there is still water in the saucepan.
