LIKE A BARBEQUED PRETZEL IN SOME CHEAP B-GRADE AMERICAN FILM

I wrote this poem a few years ago when I was first falling in love with my husband.  I changed it a little.  I hope you all enjoy it.

LIKE A BARBEQUED PRETZEL IN SOME CHEAP B-GRADE AMERICAN FILM by Lynda Gray

just heard a song

as I drove down the road

a song of faith and a song of hope and

a tune just like you

just heard of the ills of the twentieth-first century

plastic surgery

pesticides

poisons

and fast food

just heart my heart beating

When I thought of you in a frame

in my head and with a memory and

in my soul

just heard your voice

and called your name

and with you near me

faith is here again.
