VALENTINE’S DAY LOVE POETRY – Peaches, Strawberries and Pears, Pick Me  by Lynda Gray

rose one

Is she vexed?

And tired withered eyes,

and staring blindly,

and peaceful and

content and full of

things to come,

In old treasure chests,

and through a moonface,

in a burning flame

and a face not

Jackets and Dresses

and Novels,

With a still thoughtless

mind and fragile

Speeches and Peaches

and Strawberries

And Pears, Pick

me.
