Easiest Chocolate Fudge or Slice – almost sugar-free – No baking

fudge 1

1 packet sugar-free digestive biscuits – approx. 250 grams

100 grams Dark sugar-free chocolate

100 grams Milk sugar-free chocolate

100 grams unsalted butter

70 grams currants

70 grams golden syrup

Take out small baking tray – line with cling film/wrap that overlaps on the edges. Take out a bowl put the digestive biscuits in. Crush with a rolling-pin or wooden spoon gently. Or you can place them in a seal proof plastic bag and crush them with the rolling-pin. Place them in another bowl. On a low gas mark or simmer temperature. Put a large saucepan on the oven containing approximately a 1/4 of water (enough for the bowl or jug to sit in the water approximately a quarter in height) – place a heat proof bowl or Pyrex glass jug hanging over the saucepan. Break up all the chocolate put inside the bowl or glass jug, with the butter and golden syrup. Wait until it is all melted and stir occasionally with a wooden spoon. Once melted add the currants to the bowl with the digestive biscuits and stir around. Lastly add the melted chocolate mixture. And mix together with the wooden spoon. Then spoon the entire mixture onto the lined baking tray. Use a potato masher to make the mixture smooth and even on top. Place in the refrigerator for 1 and a half to 2 hours. Once hardened tip upside down onto a wooden chopping board and slice into pieces. It will keep for a week or more in the refrigerator.
