VALENTINE’S DAY LOVE POETRY – “i carry your heart” by e.e.cummings

‘i carry your heart’ by E.E. Cummings

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)

i fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Here is a little about the story.

Lorenzo Ezzilini was a player, an extremely wealthy merchant banker with one goal: unbridled ambition. Leaving Italy to escape his family destiny and moving to Paris to the highest ranks in banking, was all he cared about. His past haunted him. Believing love and women would stand in his way, he never allowed himself to get close to anyone. Until he met Claudette Bornhorst. Claudette was nurturing her broken heart. Would the chemistry they felt when they were near each other be enough to bring them together, or would it be a fleeting fantasy? #romance #readers #contemporary #womensfiction

And I wondered how many Artists are Cleaners?

And I wondered how many Artists are Cleaners?  Lynda Gray

Our cleaner told me she was an artist once,

And I said. “What do you mean once?”

I said, “Why don’t you go down to the art shop

and buy some canvases and paint?”

Then she said, “I would but something is stopping me.”

I said, “Is it perfectionism?”

She said, “Yes I need to be perfect.”

I said, “Who taught you that? Was it the school system?”

She said, “Yes, with a tear in her eye.”

My sister was the academic one and I was the dumb one

who could only draw and dance,

My daughter’s a professional dancer you know.

And I wondered how many cleaners are artists?

They told me at school I was a failure because I wasn’t academic.

But I was the best artist in school,

All I wanted to do was draw and paint.

They still have some of my paintings you know.

I said, “You know every person who talks about success

said they made many mistakes.”

She stared at me not understanding the same old ‘academic’

narrow system she had been in.

She said, “She cleaned for a teacher who painted and she had

canvases all over her house.”

I made her promise me she would buy some canvases and paint.

She said, “Her sister became a teacher, but she was the dumb one

who could only paint!”

So she’s a cleaner who doesn’t paint,

and her sisters teaching the next generation of Artists that

they’re dumb. Perhaps!

Because there not academic, they just want to paint.

And I wondered how many artists are cleaners?

If I were to be a famous Writer – Lynda Gray

If I were to be a famous writer

when would I awaken

would it be to the noxious sound of traffic

near my beating heart

or would it be to the sound of the kookaburra

laughing on the dawn of sundown

or then again would it be in amongst the

time of owls and snakes and the beasts of

the night, or would it be to the sound, the taste,

and the touch of precious daylight.

A Change of Heart – Medical Romance – Lovely Reviews – Lynda Gray

It is so lovely when readers leave 5 star reviews of your books. It makes all the hard, but fun work worth it.

Here are two I received recently:
By Lindsey on August 19, 2015
Amazon Kindle

Usually I’m not a big fan of medical romances, but I definitely make an exception for this one. Not only were the characters dynamic and easy to relate to, but the author managed to combine just the right amount of drama and romance. I also found the plot of this read was wildly refreshing and not at all predictable–unlike most romances in this genre. Overall, I highly recommend this one. It’s a real breath of fresh air!

All the books by this author are a pleasant experience. Love the cover design too. This is a beautiful book.
